Another question for the relatives

Abi has only received her first flu shot (she should also get a booster) and has not received her H1N1 flu shot or booster.  Mommy cannot find any place in MA that has these shots available.  Is the situation any better in NY?

In NY the news indicates that much of the vaccine is distributed in clinic settings and they show photos of individuals lining up for shots early in the AM when vaccine is available. They are also indicating that more of the vaccine is rolling out and should be more available soon. I have a Dr.s appointment tomorrow and I will ask about the availability then. Has your pediatrician said you will be notified when it is available or do you need to call every day to find out? A news report recently commented on how inefficient the rollout has been because it has been up to the individual to locate the vaccine. I think there is a govt website that is supposed to identify locations that have vaccine. Not sure if that is state by state or one federal site.

It’s up to us to keep checking with the pediatrician. I’ve checked a few vaccine-locating websites, but have not had much luck.
