I didn’t have the stroller with me, so the walk home (carrying her) was lots of fun.

Abi is so proud of herself

Daddy reports that she stacked 2 pillows and used them to climb onto the couch.

Abi outsmarts us again

Posted by Mommy on Sep 26, 2010 in Uncategorized

Abi came to cuddle with Daddy.  He tried to put her to sleep.  She then told him she was hungry, he put her in the high chair and she immediately reached for the crayons.  She just wanted to draw.  Daddy said “you are going into your crib as soon as you are done eating,” and so Abi immediately reached for food.  Daddy then looked away, and Abi put the food down and resumed drawing.

Abi the food hoarder

Posted by Mommy on Sep 26, 2010 in Uncategorized

Daddy was cleaning the living room on Saturday, and found little stashes of bagels.  In one case, Abi tried, so hard, to eat the donut.  It was too hard.  We apparently have a little pack rat.

Abi’s 18th month physical, summary by Daddy

Posted by Mommy on Sep 24, 2010 in Uncategorized

Back from the physical. Everything is good. We’re going to do the early intervention assessment for her speech, but the doc doesn’t think there is really likely an issue based on her receptive speech.

Vitals:

21 lbs, 13 oz, up from 21 lbs 1 oz. (Exactly on the same curve, between 25 and 10%)
31 3/4” up from 30 1/4”. Up to 66th percentile from ~50th percentile last time

Nuts aren’t an issue any more if she has had them and not had a reaction.

She is at or advanced where she should be in every characteristic except speech.

She feel asleep after her weight was taken and slept through most of the physical, but woke up right before her flu shot. :-/

Abi brushes daddy’s hair

Posted by Mommy on Sep 24, 2010 in Uncategorized

Daddy felt threatened because she was holding the brush like a weapon.   I suspect Grandpa Leo feels avenged.

Abi, the future soccer player

Posted by Mommy on Sep 24, 2010 in Uncategorized

She will chase any ball at the playground, even if the player is twice her height.  She even tries to go onto the soccer field when games are in session.  Abi practices her kicks with balls she finds.
