Daddy had to take a business trip this week. Â Here, he waits for his company’s car to pick him up and take him to the airport. Â Daddy was sad to go.
Abi wanted to make sure that Daddy looked great in his meetings. Â She ultimately gave his teeth the “A-ok”.

Abi refuses to feed herself (though she will put food in Mommy’s & Daddy’s mouths, and also hand them food that she wants put in her own mouth).  Abi made some progress this week in feeding herself.  She managed to get a piece of food into her mouth, but did not close her mouth or try to chew the food.  A few days later, at the gym, she put a toy in her mouth.  (Unlike most babies, she reliably  only puts Tivo remote controls in her mouth, and for this reason has not figured out how to feed herself.)

Mommy & Abi went to the Little Fox Shop. Â Abi did quite well. Â She got a “This Little Piggy” book, which she enjoys. Â The various little piggies slide up when the appropriate toe is moved.
Abi also got a party dress for the summer. Â (Mommy couldn’t resist it both because it was so cute and just $5.) Â Unfortunately, it is way too big on Abi now, so hopefully she’ll be invited to some parties this summer. Â As you can see from the picture below, she does not particularly like the dress, but Mommy is hopeful that she will change her mind.
Abi also got her first truck. Â Maybe she will escape the unhandy genes she likely inherited from Daddy & Mommy. Â It would be great to have a skilled handy(wo)man living in our house.

She destroyed her cardboard peek-a-boo boo. Â This new book is made out of thick cloth, so it is safe for a little bit.

Mommy & Abi went to the gym twice this week. Â It was snowing both days, and hence the gym was filled with toddlers and their parents (along with many toys). Â Abi was very shy the first day. Â The second day, she was a little more comfortable, and even let Mommy put her down on the floor for short periods. Â

Abi has been having a few sleep issues recently. Â She is still sleeping well at night, but having trouble falling asleep for her naps. Â Recently, she’s only been getting one nap in per day, and is pretty tired because she really needs her second nap.

Abi had a busy day today. Â First, she went swimming with Daddy. Â Daddy reports that she did not particularly like this class. Â She was not comfortable floating on her back, for example. Â Below, you’ll see Abi patiently waiting for Daddy in her bathing suit.
Then, after taking a long nap, she went to the Museum of Science with Mommy & Daddy. Â She had fun playing at the toddler water table, where she caught a few plastic fish with her hands. Â Below, she poses with Daddy in front of several exhibits. Note the dinosaur in the left picture. Â Even though the weather was warm in Boston, the dinosaur was nonetheless wearing its scarf.
Finally, Abi came home and got some exercise by flinging her clothes around.

really plays patty-cake! Â She is also standing for longer and longer periods of time, and dragging items in her right hand when she crawls.
