Grandma & Grandpa came to visit . . .
and cut Abi’s hair so she could see.
and cut Abi’s hair so she could see.
It took Abi a few minutes to get comfortable in the water – but then she had a great time.
Much news to report:
She is even walking backwards now, but has not yet figured out how to turn.
Abi will even pivot on one leg just to get better leverage.
Abi is enthralled by peek-a-boo games. Â We have a peek-aboo book, with flaps that can be lifted to reveal babies’ faces. Â Daddy reports that Abi started “reading” the book herself. Â She sat on the floor, lifted flaps, and laughed . . . all by herself.
She is 10 months & 1 day old today.
Daddy reports that Baby Abi is abusing him. Â Daddy read her the Tweety Shapes book. Â He then tried to read her another book, but Abi grabbed the other book and shoved the Tweety book back at Daddy. Â She made him read it six times, and hit him hard whenever he was not reading at a pace sufficiently fast enough for her.
I’ve started organizing Abi’s old clothes for storage. Â I came across her little newborn onesies, summer dresses, little pajamas . . . it is so sad to think that she may soon be done with her babyhood.
Please send it to me for posting!
We are up to about 20-30 seconds.
While Daddy and I were sitting, Abi started wandering out of the living room. Â We were joking about Mommy’s musings of Abi being like Theo behavior-wise, and Daddy told Abi he had cheese for her.
Then Abi turned around and crawled back towards us. Â It dawned on us at that moment that she recognized Cheese as a treat. Â This was the point we started to get a little disturbed by the connotations of this, because it meant that Mommy’s idea of Abi being similar to Theo was not entirely off.
As it turns out, Abi also knows the ‘sit’ command.
Daddy is a little bit concerned by this turn of events. Â Theo is a very smart dog, but we want to believe Abi is a lot smarter than him. Â On the other hand, if we can get Theo, Jasmine, and Abi to charge the kitchen next time they’re down in Merrick, it would be adorable.
Once Grandma stopped crying.
