Some things I forgot to mention on the July 20th long blog post

• As of July 20th, Abi is now putting her foot in her mouth.
• Abi likes pulling on Mommy’s chain and pushing on her windpipe.  Mommy assumes that there is no hint there (i.e., that she will not grow up to be like Stewie Griffin).
• Poor Daddy paced, holding Abi, for over 2 hours on Sunday because her gums made her uncomfortable.  She was comforted by the physical contact and the motion.

Mommy is excited that Grandma Linda will now post to Abi’s blog.  And Grand Daddy Michael had a great comment too!

Here are some random thoughts about the last day:

• Abi has not been sleeping well recently.  Last night, she woke up at 3, 5 and 7AM.  Mommy is tired.  Hopefully, she will start to sleep better soon.
• Abi’s gums seem to be bothering her.  She really clamps down on Mommy (ouch).  No visible teeth yet.
• Today, Mommy bought Abi a winkel  

Abi likes it because it is small enough to fit into her hands, she can pull and push on it, and it makes noise.  Abi has really been making a killing in terms of toys.     

• Mommy and Abi went to their last “Next Stages” class.  Abi enjoyed plaing with large, soft balls

• Unfortunately, this was the last class.  We took group pictures.
• All babies are within a few months age of each other.  One mom, who is 39, was talking about having more kids since she is “getting on”.  Mommy thinks that the oldest mom in the class is 45 – so Mommy does not feel so old now.
• Subsequently, Mommy & Abi went to the library, where they borrowed several baby music CDs.  They listened to one a little at home – Abi seemed to enjoy it even though she was clearly sleepy.  She heard Ten in the Bed, This Little Light of Mine, Old MacDonald Had a Farm, and The More We Get Together.  The last song was sung almost every week in the Next Stages class, and Abi seemed to recognize it.
• Abi is now asleep, and Mommy is going to get to sleep too.  Good night!

Dear Readers,

This blog was originally started as a way to record Abi’s early months, since eventually she will want to know about her babyhood.  My technical support team tells me that he will be able to save this blog for her.

While I am sure that Abi will be happy to read Mommy’s accounts, she will also want to know what her wonderful relatives were like when she was a baby.  So – I invite you to become a contributor to this blog.  You can comment on Mommy’s posts, or better yet, even make your own from scratch.  I know that she will be happy to read them when she is a little older.

Send Mommy an email if you want to write your own posts for Abi.  Mommy will then send you a username, password and link to the page where you can post your thoughts, pictures, wishes for Abi, etc.

Together, we can make this blog a real treasure that Abi will enjoy reading.
