(-:
Abi & Mommy first spent some time with Fran today. Â She did not want to give Abi back to Mommy, but eventually got the willpower to do so.
Then, Mommy & Abi went to the Boston RMV. Â This was their first trip together on public transportation. Â Mommy was surprised with how easy it was, as all stations they went to had elevators. Â Unfortunately, the elevators in Boston did not smell especially hygenic, but Abi did not seem to notice. Â They waited at the RMV for about 2 hours, during which time Abi made friends with people around her. Â The woman sitting next to Mommy lost track of time and did not realize that her number had been called since she was talking to Abi. Â Behind us, two girls were having a lot of fun smiling at Abi, and one asked to hold Abi. Â When they first got to the RMV, Mommy noticed how easy it was to get people to give her more space on the bench. Â She just lay Abi out on her changing pad, got out a clean diaper – and voila – the person sitting on the bench got up and left.
The trip to Alewife was uneventful as Abi slept during the train ride. Â However, she had a bit of a meltdown on the walk home. Daddy came to pick her & Mommy up and drive them home. Â In hindsight, Mommy thinks that Abi was hungry (Abi ate at the RMV).
Daddy put Abi’s carseat into the car, and then put her into the carseat. Â He also put the pacifier into her mouth. Â When they arrive home, he noticed that the pacifier was in the door pocket rather than in her carseat. Â Based on this, he thinks that they have now entered the throwing phase.
Abi got her new swaddler from Amazon (the old one was getting too small), and she seems to have a harder time escaping from it, thus hopefully leading to a better night sleep.
Well, time for Mommy to crawl off to bed since Abi will be waking up soon.
